An informed choice.

What the evidence can tell you — and where its limits matter.

Evidence & expectations

Laser and light treatments can reduce visible vessels in rosacea. Persistent background redness and inflammatory spots are different targets, and their responses vary. Evidence for the treatment class should not be read as a guaranteed DermaV-specific result.[1]

Preparation & recovery

A medical assessment should distinguish vessels from other causes of redness. Discuss medicines, previous light treatments and sun exposure. Ask about temporary redness, swelling or bruising and when skin-care products can be resumed.[1]

Risks & limitations

Light treatment can cause pigment changes, burns or scarring. Skin tone, wavelength and the operator’s technique matter. Treating vessels does not remove the underlying tendency to rosacea.[1]

Compare your options

For rosacea, consider skin care, trigger management and appropriate medical treatment alongside any procedure. A vascular laser and a pigment laser have distinct targets; combining them needs a reason for each step.[1]

How we use evidence

A controlled trial compares interventions in defined groups; an uncontrolled cohort cannot, alone, establish causality. A review depends on the quality of its included studies. We distinguish these sources from manufacturer information and identify when findings do not directly apply to the platform or protocol.

The date records when sources were checked for this guide. It is not a statement of individual clinical review, product authorisation or confirmation of the clinic’s available configuration.

This guide supports a conversation with your clinician. It does not determine your suitability or replace individual aftercare instructions.
